This summer, NEKLS invites our member public libraries to join the Capture the Color photo contest! It’s a vibrant way to celebrate and document the joy, energy, and creativity happening in your libraries during June and July.
Each member library can submit up to three photos each month—that’s two chances to win! Submissions are due by the last day of each month and should be emailed to Dan Alexander (dalexander@nekls.org).
Contest Guidelines: Click here to review the full rules and tips.
What makes a great photo?
Capture the Color is all about preserving the rich, colorful experiences of summer programming in our libraries. Think:
- Creative composition
- Natural, balanced lighting
- And of course—pops of summer color!
Your submissions help NEKLS and the Northeast Kansas Library Foundation promote and advocate for library work across the region—through marketing materials, reports, and beyond.
