NEKLS 2023 Summer Reading Workshop (Children)
01/27/2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Get ready for All Together Now: Todos Juntos Ahora. This
workshop is provided free of charge to you and your library.
Friday, January 27, 2023; 10 – 11:30am on Zoom.
Our 2023 Children’s Workshop will be presented by Julie Crabb-Abbott, a Children’s
Guide with Anythink Libraries serving Adams County, Colorado. She is currently chair of the CLEL (Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy) Advocacy & Fundraising Subcommittee, chair of the CLEL Training Subcommittee, and chair of the 2023 CLEL Bell Award Committee. A native Kansan, Julie has been serving library communities since 2010 and is committed to providing positive experiences in the library; including pools filled with spaghetti noodles, hip-hop baby bounces, and trying to learn how to skateboard with middle schoolers.
This summer’s theme, All Together Now: Todos Juntos Ahora, is bound to inspire
months of friendships, unity, and unique partnerships. Attendees of this workshop will leave with concrete programming examples for ages 0-10 with a focus on flexible, low-budget ideas. Craft symbiotic relationships, explore collaborative art with AI technology, connect with homopolar motors, and more as we prep for a summer of excitement.
