Teaching Security Best Practices

  • by

Every New Year brings new computer and Internet users to the library, looking for information on how to use their new computers. One thing that all of us should be able to do is to point those new users to up-to-date and complete information on staying secure while using the Internet. Fortunately, StaySafeOnline.org has a whole passel of resources for all age ranges – with a focus on keeping kids safe online, but with information on staying safe with your mobile gadgets for everyone, too!
The tip sheets on the StaySafeOnline site are free to download and use as handouts at your reference desk or as teaching aids for Internet Safety Classes. Use them to help your patrons stay safe online this year!
