eBooks, filetype, and DRM
As more library patrons are obtaining eReaders, many of you have had questions wanting to know why some of the devices work with Overdrive eBooks and some don’t, and why the books won’t work on the different devices. On his Pattern Recognition blog, Jason Griffey has written a great summary post explaining all the differences. It’s worth a read. The eReader market is still confusing, but hopefully Griffey’s post will help you understand some of the differences of the filetypes and DRM. I know it helped me.
