Hey NEKLodianS! We have a new staff member to introduce. Her name is Dorinda Benton, and she is the new Business Manager for our organization.
Dorinda is currently working with Carolyn and Laura learning the ropes, but she is no stranger to quasi-state government bookkeeping. Her last position of ten years was with Equus Beds Groundwater Management District No. 2 out of Halstead Kansas, as their Administrative Assistance. In that position she was:
Solely responsible for all administrative and financial duties, including payroll, benefits, paid time off, maintaining the company’s bank accounts, compiling monthly accounting reports, and assisting in an annual financial audit. [linkedin]
Dorinda grew up in Lawrence, so the move back to town is reuniting her and her three sons with family still located here.
So far we know that Dorinda wears the same sandals as Laura Heather and Patti, and that in the past she has sang Pat Benatar covers. We will share more information when it becomes available. Please help us in making Dorinda’s time here exciting and new.
