Active Learning Through Makerspaces

This event will take place during the University’s spring break, so plenty of parking will be available.

Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring laptops and mobile devices.

You’re invited! This session will benefit librarians, instructors and staff from: K-12 schools, colleges, universities and public libraries.

Join us for a day focused on makerspaces in schools and libraries. Learn what tools are needed, liability issues, security and inventory control. This hands-on workshop will present you with six different makerspace projects to tinker and use in your library’s makerspace. Throughout the day, we will explore the concept “Less Us, More Them” and have an opportunity to network.

Facilitated by Anna J. Catterson, Ph.D.; Educational Technology Coordinator / Researcher at Emporia State University.
